After a disappointing performance at Euro 2024, Belgium return to action on Friday as they take on Israel in a closed-door Nations League contest at Nagyerdei Stadion in Hungary.

Belgium face their first Nations League fixture in the unfamiliar surroundings of Debrecen, Hungary, this weekend, with the fixture moved due to security reasons.

Winning just one of four games played at Euro 2024, while scoring just two goals was a hugely disappointing result for the Red Devils. Despite the summer's frustrations, head coach Domenic Tedesco remains in charge for the upcoming Nations League campaign and much improved performances will be expected from the Red Devils.

While not in the greatest of form, and playing in neutral territory, Belgium should still be expected to take care of business against Israel. 

The Belgians do have a mixed record in this competition, winning five and losing four of their last ten Nations League contests. However, they do have a 100% winning record in four previous games against Israel.

The Israeils make the trip to Hungary looking to make an impression in League A, after securing promotion from League B for the first time. The Israeils have lost four and won just two of their last seven international fixtures.

On the road, Ran Ben Shimon′s side have slipped to defeat in eight of their last 14 road fixtures, and while this game takes place on neutral territory, it's hard to see a path for Israel to win on Friday.
