Cartagena are again one of the weakest La Liga 2 teams, but they hope to again escape from relegation. Last season, the team from the region of Murcia finished with only six points more than the drop zone. 

Cartagena had a poor start to the 2024/25 season with two defeats. In the previous round, the first points finally came when Abelardo's team won 2-1 on the road against Eldense. Guests were losing after the first 45 minutes, but an excellent second half was enough for Cartagena to pick up all three points. 

The 2024/25 season is the third in a row for Levante in the second level of Spanish football. Although they started the new season without a defeat in the first three rounds, Levante realistically belongs more to a mid-table position. In the previous game, Julian Calero's team played 2-2 on the road against Eibar. The home side finished the match with 68% ball possession and 31 shots on the goal, but the guests still found a way to take one valuable point.
