St Patrick's Athletic will be looking to register back to back wins for the first time in over 25 days when they take on Dundalk away from home this week.

The hosts are the worst side in the League of Ireland Premier Division. Dundalk are currently languishing at the bottom of the standings and have celebrated just five wins this season. But considering that four of those victories came at home, they will fancy their chances of taking something from Thursday’s game.

St Patricks sit comfortably above the bottom three and their recent form across all competitions looks a little better. After the comfortable 4-1 win over Drogheda United last weekend, the visitors have now lost just one of their last nine encounters (won five).

Dundalk also have a strong record against St Patricks at this ground, with the Lilywhites avoiding defeat in each of the last three meetings (two draws and one win).

St Patrick's Athletic may be outside the bottom three but their performances away from the Richmond Park doesn’t speak well. The visitors have failed to win 12 of their 13 away games in the League of Ireland Premier Division and I think Thursday will be another difficult day on the road for them.
