Since getting relegated from La Liga in the 2020/21 season, Eibar have been constantly among the candidates for return. In the following three seasons, they were super close to securing direct promotion, missing it every time by one point! Unfortunately for them, they were not good in the playoffs, losing in the semi-finals all three times. Their goal for this season remains unchanged: to return to the Spanish top-flight division. In La Liga 2, there isn't a clear-cut favorite for the promotion and the title, but for now, the bookies consider Eibar as the best team in the league, offering odds around 6.7 to win the title. So far, Eibar opened the season fairly well, winning four points in the first two rounds.

Levante are one of the teams that constantly moved between La Liga and La Liga 2 in the 21st century. They were relegated in 2021/22 and were super close to securing an instant return, missing it only due to worse h2h stats with 2nd-placed Las Palmas. However, the last season was a disappointment as the team from Valencia finished 8th - five points away from playoffs and 13 points away from direct promotion. This season, just like Eibar, Levante started the season with four points in the first two rounds.

Eibar vs Levante pick: Both teams to score

In the first two games, Eibar looked really good offensively. They scored three goals but created a lot of chances and could have easily scored more. Last year, they were excellent at home and scored at least one goal in 19 out of 21 home league games - 90%. Also, overall, Eibar were by far the best offensive team in the league, scoring 72 goals. So, we aren't really worried about their offensive performance against anyone. Still, defensively, we saw some major flaws in the first two games. Yes, they managed to keep a clean sheet against Castellon, but we can safely say Castellon deserved at least one goal. In fact, they did score, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside. If they struggled to keep a clean sheet against newly promoted Castellon, they definitely should have problems against Levante.

Levante started the season well. A win against Gijon, which were in the playoffs last year, and a draw against Cadiz, which played in La Liga last year. They scored three goals in those two matches, and we believe they will score against Eibar. Levante were excellent offensively even in the pre-season, scoring at least one goal in six of seven games. On the other hand, they failed to keep a clean sheet in the first two La Liga 2 matches, and we do not expect them to keep their net intact against probably the best offensive team in the league.

Last season, both teams scored in both h2h games. Considering the previous h2h games and all the above, we expect both teams to score at least once in this La Liga 2 tie.
